Photography Face!

This is Me
Amanda Turri
The Face Behind the Camera
YYYYY

By definition, the word photography means:
Writing with light.

When I learned what that meant, I was hooked. With that spark, a passion grew that only drove me further into the world of photography. I just want people to see my work, and maybe, a few people will find my artistic eye to tickle their fancy and they’ll buy all of my photographs for millions of dollars. That was a bit of a leap, but still, I gotta have dreams. My dream job is to be a black and white film/digital photographer, but until then, I’ll keep snapping photos and dreaming big.

So, come a long with me, on a journey of sorts, down my yellow brick road of photos.

Don't feel like getting your "link" on, just look at these!

You never know when a simple Friday night will turn into some neat photo shoot with close friends.

And sometimes I go out on the hunt. Weaving in and out of traffic searching for the right spot to point my camera at.

YYY

I see me through my eyes.

What's it like to see me through your eyes?

Just a summer trip up the coast for some fine sights.

Some pictures, I took to remember those who have passed.

Being a photographer isn't easy, I always have to go the extra step to reach what I want. The world is changing and I plan on rolling with the punches.

Speaking of the changing world...

The world of photography is changing...

A photographer in this day and age needs to have a handle on video, audio, and photography.

As part of my efforts to keep up with the pace, I collaborated with a few students from my photography class to make an audio visual slideshow.

Videos such as this are shown on an online publication. I do apologize for the poor quality of the photographs, but youtube isn't quite as crisp as I had hoped.

The way the world of photography is changing is exciting. There are more ways to show and present photographs. Now more than ever there are more places to show photographs off and get more work.

I do photography for a local Las Cruces skate team as well as a car club, small jobs such as these make it easy for me to meet more people that could be come future clients.

My passion for photography has only grown through the many struggles of learning and adapting to the technique of this art.

Mode, not so good on apple pie

Basically, I'm thinking that I'm going to use.....photographs, an audio visual piece, and a blog. The identity I chose is:
Amanda
The
Photographer
One of my classes is mostly online, we do all of our posts on our class website. From my blog I was going to link to the youtube audio visual piece and documentaryshooters.com.
Now, if I can handle posting photos in the blog, I will be doing that as well. There are times when blogger wins and I lose.

Bad Boys Bad Boys

The identity we are performing is professional. There are still a lot of children missing and America's Most Wanted should begin reaaching out in other ways. Myspace is a mass social site that hosts profiles to millions, giving John Walsh the opportunity to reach more people worldwide.
I think that we are performing to anyone who has a caring bone in their body and is interested in helping others.
Inform, entertain, educate.
The purpose is to draw in people with John Walsh's photos with famous people and explaining his story and his reason for being the icon for missing people.
I think John Walsh would approve. He may even be flattered in fact. We are trying to be objective as best we can, we do not have a direct insight in to who is really is, but we are reaching out in the best way we can. Plus, AMW should totally have a Myspace.
